Volunteer Orientation Training

All volunteers, including all event committee volunteers, are provided with an orientation as part of their training with the Canadian Cancer Society.  

Some Regional and community offices offer in-person volunteer orientation sessions, so please check with your local office to find out where and when sessions are available.

If you are not able to attend an in-person session, orientations are also provided through a monthly teleconference.
To register for a Volunteer Orientation Teleconference, go to the Training Calendar, choose the date most convenient for you and sign-up.

Another option is to view the Orientation provided by our National office.  When opening the page, please scroll to the far right of the screen and type this username "bcyvolunteer" and password "ccsbcyvol" in order to login to the orientation.  

Event Orientations

Event specific volunteers will be provided orientation and training at their event, or through event resources. Examples of event specific positions:

• Relay For Life, Cops for Cancer, Daffodil Day event volunteers
• Residential Door to Door canvassers
• Christmas Gift Wrapping volunteers
